"The Help" awesome review

“The Help” The movie

The movie “the Help” was a amazing movie that took me on a journey as well as others. It opens your eyes to HISTORY…the past…It reminds people to be thankful on how far we have came as a nation. It makes me appreciate my ancestors even more because of the fight and courage they had to stand up for my rights. This movie is definitely a emotional movie for women and some men too, but it should..emotions change people’s ways of thinking of things and something powerful happens when you cry over emotions..it changes your state.
Well….I encourage everyone to see the movie!
I hope every single actor, writer, photographer, or anyone who played a role in the movie to win a award. They deserve it!! I love this movie…by far my favorite!

the movie "the Help"

The movie "the Help" has compelled me to write and to do whatever I can to fight for something. The movie was extraordinary. It was heart touching, emotional, and full of life. It really took me all the way back and gave me a close look into my ancestors history. I encourage everyone to watch it and to bring a friend along with you. I did not see one dry or boring part in the movie. The actors did an amazing job and it has brought my spirit to a extreme high to spread the word about this movie. Please see it. I hope it changes your eyes & life like it did mine.

Summer...Internship

Hello everyone,

My summer is great so far! I have been working with my internship for about a week now, its going on two weeks tomorrow. I work for a non-profit organization called Youth About Business where I along with 6 other interns run summer business camps at elite universities. Its so impressive. I was in Nashville last week, now Atlanta this week and next week, then off to Nashville before the Chicago camp. I'm so excited about all this traveling. Its a lot of work, but mot def worth it for the students involved in the camp and for the learning I receive while running it, not to mention executives I get to meet.

Well Follow me on twitter @anniecarrie and on facebook at carrie annie conner.

Love always,

Looking Back over my Freshman Year!

Looking back over this past school year, I am amazed. I am amazed that I am almost officially a junior in college ,and I have grown as a individual. These two things have many things that fall behind it. First off, I am proud to say that I made the choice to go to college. This choice is definitely one of the best so far. My experience in college has been so great as far as getting involved as a collegiate athlete, performing well as a student in the classroom, and being involved on campus with different activities such as Tiger Lead, Black Student Association, and a couple of activists groups that stand for something great. I also enjoyed the basketball games, parties, and competitions I was able to do like the spelling bee and speed eating contests. Secondly, I have grown as a person. I have grown to become a better leader by workshops that I took part in like Tiger Leadership Institute and Lunch with a Leader. I have grown to be a better person because of my wonderful English teacher telling us the importance in having a voice and standing for something. This has been one of the most influential things for me. I was able to step-out into my community and understand others and their day to day fight for justice and equality. Furthermore, I have to say that I have truly enjoyed my experience here as a Freshman at the University of Memphis. I couldn't expect much better and no less than this years experience. I am happy to be a Tiger. Go Tigers! :)

Memphis Tigers Basketball Team

Memphis is so excited for our Memphis Tigers Basketball Team. And when I talk about Memphis, I am saying the city and the school because it shows that the University and the city can produce something good even if it is a sport. I am so proud of our guy's. They are all good friends of mine; I knew some before we started to attend the university together as collegiate athletes. I am amazed by the level of skill the guy's have because the team is made up of all freshman and three upper classmen (1 senior). The boy's won the CUSA championship by the grace of God, even they can say it was a blessing. It was a close game that got down to the last 7 seconds. Our Tigers won by one point. Now, they are in Tulsa awaiting the big game Friday against Arizonna in the NCAA championship. The last time our men's team went to the NCAA Basketball championships was in 2009. The boy's should be proud of theirselves! I know Memphis will be tuned in at 1:40 when the tip off of the game starts on Friday. Show your support by tuning in also.

Go TIGERS!!!
