Is Abstinence still in existence today?

So, I have been thinking. I have took a pledge when I was 12 years old. The pledge was not to have sex until marriage. Now, I am 18 years old and I have kept that promise. So, I am on a collge campus where I see so many people just fooling around and having sex with person after person like its nothing to them. Do you know how precious your body is? Do you understand the consequences of laying down and having sex. Abstinence does still exist. Abstinence is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. Although many birth control methods can have high rates of success if used properly, they can fail occasionally. Practicing abstinence ensures that a girl won't become pregnant because there's no opportunity for sperm to fertilize an egg.

  1. I totally agree with you on this matter. In a way you can say I'm practicing abstinence because I have not engaged in any sexual activities and I will be 19 next week so I am proud about that. I don't understand how girls or even guys can go around having sex with numerous of people and not have a problem with that. I remember going 2 a meeting 4 an organization I was in in high school and my mentor said she can count on 1 hand how many men she had sex with and dat was only 2. I really admire her and I too want 2 be able 2 do the same.

  2. You are doing GREAT girl. I was doing the same thing but imma just say I couldn't control everything that happened to me but if a person become sexual active they do not need to go from person to person and they need to protect themselves also. I am also very proud of myself and don't care what people say cause i know it's right.
